Day 1 - Arrive for the vacation of a lifetime
Arrive in Scotland where you will be warmly welcomed by an WWGT Representative who will assist you with your transport arrangements and give you any necessary documents. Travel to and stay at The 5* Old Course Hotel x 7 nights.
The Old Course Hotel - Set in a spectacular location beside the infamous 17th Road Hole. One of Scotland’s leading resort hotels possesses quiet elegance and unparalleled service. There are extensive Spa facilities. The Championship Dukes Course which was designed by 5 times Open winner Peter Thomson is owned by the hotel and located 3 miles inland from St Andrews.
Day 2 - Play Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course
Host venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup Matches.
Gleneagles PGA Centenary - created by Jack Nicklaus, is a modern classic.
Even for a champion and acclaimed golf architect like Nicklaus, The PGA Centenary Course was a challenge. It had to be a great course and, set as it is in the heart of Scotland, the country that gave the world golf, Nicklaus described the course as "The finest parcel of land in the world I have ever been given to work with".
Day 3 - Play Kingsbarns
Kingsbarns is only 6 miles from St. Andrews and is well worth the phenomenal hype it has received. Having opened in July 2000 it is now being mentioned in the same breath as Turnberry, Dornoch and Cruden Bay. With its true links turf, contoured rolling fairways and majestic vistas of the sea this course is destined to be a classic. The sea plays an integral role in the course design and the sandy dunes also feature prominently in enhancing the course landscape.
Day 4 - Play St Andrews Castle Course
you will either love it or hate it
St Andrews Castle Course - Nineteenth holes all over St. Andrews must absolutely love the new Castle Course, because golfers who come into their pub after 18 holes there surely have an extra few pints as they debate the polarizing design by architect David McLay Kidd
Day 5 - Play The Dukes
The Dukes blend of inland and links has gradually been accepted into the hearts of the Scottish golfing population and is now considered one-to-play though for a long time it was looked upon as a new upstart in the Auld Grey Toon.
The high standards from the moment you arrive in the car park until the last sip of your post-match pint make it an outing to remember but also remember the course is a tough cookie to crack.
Day 6 - Play St Andrews Jubilee Course
St. Andrews Links - Jubilee Course :- Runs adjacent to the Old and New courses in St Andrews. Perceived by local folk to be a tougher proposition to both other courses due to its tight angles and undulating contoured fairways. There are two aspects of this course that make it extremely challenging - its length and its openness to the West Sands and the North Sea. Accuracy is paramount throughout. The Jubilee co hosted the British amateur Championship in 2004.
Day 7 - Play Carnoustie Championship Course
Carnoustie – Hosted an exciting Open Championship in 2007, but will probably be better remembered for 1999 when Jean Van De Velde came unstuck at the final hole forfeiting a 3 shot lead. The narrow fairways and high rough which that Championship was remembered for are now no longer such feature and Visitors can look forward to a beautifully conditioned course where accuracy is rewarded but poor course management exposed.
Day 8 - Time flies when you are enjoying yourself
After breakfast depart for the airport.
